Dropping by with some updates! Probably for the last time before Thanksgiving rolls around and I get a real break from work. I just finished reinstalling everything I lost in my ne laptop’s SECOND crash, which included a ton of photos I took of my drawings I’ve been procrastinating on for the last year and a half. So those will be here shortly!

And oh my giraffe, I am SO EXCITED for the release of JAK 4!! I won’t be able to play it til I come home for Thanksgiving since I don’t have my PS2 at college with me, but still! One thing that worries me though, is how much the backgrounds and texturing so strongly resemble those of Ratchet and Clank from what I’ve seen. :/ Don’t get me wrong, I like that series a lot from what I’ve played, but to me there’s always been a certain distinctness about the environments in the Jak series. I guess it’s not something most people notice since it doesn’t really affect the gameplay, but I’ve always thought it added a lot to making the story and characters more convincing. (And addicting. xD) I still don’t understand why Naughty Dog gave it to High Impact to develop instead of continuing it themselves. That worries me. :/ But I still can’t wait to see where the story goes! Especially since it now involves AIR PIRATES.

Also, I am now having an open love affair with vine charcoal. I can’t stop experimenting with the stuff. It’s so smooth and soft against newsprint and sketch paper. I love how it blends too; it’s almost nostalgic in some weird way.

And I’m SO excited for spring break this year because I’m going to SCOTLAND!
I’ve been seriously considering opening up a print shop here on dA and potentially on other art sites to see if I can’t make some money on the side while I’m in school. I really need to save up for the trip, and other travels I have in mind before the end of next summer. There are so many places I want to explore, and hopefully find someplace nice to stay for a while. Even though I’ve been debating about whether or not certain things are too personal to put up for sale, I think I’ve found a comfortable medium. So on that note, any costume, drawing, or painting commissions are welcome at this time! And I’ll try to get a print shop going for my photography, if anyone finds it good enough to buy.

Anyone with an existing print shop/online store have any tips or advice on the matter?
